IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON OTHER WORLD

Introduction: Climate change has become an undeniable reality, with its effects reverberating throughout the world. Beyond the obvious changes in weather patterns, rising sea levels, and extreme weather events, there are hidden consequences that often go unnoticed. These hidden impacts of climate change are not only affecting our environment but also jeopardizing our health, economies, and ecosystems. In this blog, we will explore some of the lesser-known effects of climate change and shed light on the urgent need for global action. Hidden Impact 1: Health Crisis As temperatures rise and weather patterns become more unpredictable, public health is increasingly at risk. Heatwaves, intensified by climate change, can lead to heat-related illnesses and fatalities. Moreover, changing climate conditions create favorable environments for the spread of infectious diseases such as malaria, dengue fever, and Lyme disease. The consequences of climate change on human health are often overshadowed

You've probably heard that climate change is seriously impacting our planet. But what does that mean for Pakistan?

Well, for one thing, it means that our food security is at risk. You see, extreme weather conditions are making it harder and harder for us to grow food. And when the food supply is low, that can lead to riots and social unrest.

Pakistan is one of the signatories of the Paris Agreement, and it has committed to reducing its emissions by 2030. However, it will need international assistance to achieve this goal.

Climate change is a global problem, and it requires a global solution. International cooperation is essential to combat this threat. The effects of climate change are already being felt in Pakistan. Our food security is at risk, and extreme weather conditions make growing food harder and harder. Deforestation and water shortages are also major issues. We need to take action now to combat this threat. International cooperation is essential to achieving this goal. It's not just the weather that's causing problems, either. Deforestation and water shortages are also major issues. The good news is that there are things we can do to combat climate change. We just need to be willing to take action. One of the most effective ways to combat climate change is through international cooperation. The Paris Agreement, signed by nearly 200 countries in 2016, is a good example of this. The agreement commits countries to take action to reduce their emissions and provides a framework for doing so.

In order to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, Pakistan will need international assistance. Climate change is a global problem, and it requires a global solution. We must work together to combat this threat. The first step is to raise awareness about the issue. Many people are still unaware of the dangers of climate change. We need to educate them about the risks and the steps that can be taken to reduce emissions.

We also need to put pressure on our government to take action. The Paris Agreement is a good start, but we need to do more to protect our planet. The effects of climate change are already being felt in Pakistan. Our food security is at risk, and extreme weather conditions make growing food harder and harder. Deforestation and water shortages are also major issues. We need to take action now to combat this threat. International cooperation is essential to achieving this goal.

Agriculture is the backbone of the country’s economy and plays an important role in livelihood as well as food resources. But it is also having a negative impact due to climate change issues in the last few years. This leads to disruption of food availability, impacts food quality, and reduced impact on food quality and reduced access to food.
This is due to the expected rise in temperature, change in rainfall patterns, and Changes in extreme weather events, A reduction in water availability in the future could be a major cause of more decline in agricultural production which is a major threat to food security.
Studies based on crop simulation models highlighted a Decrease in the production of wheat, rice, and maize in arid, semi-arid, and rainfed areas of Pakistan under different Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) scenarios.

The study was conducted using the Agricultural Production System Simulator (APSIM). The model also shows that wheat production in arid regions of Pakistan is likely to be affected by 17 percent in 2020, 21 percent, and 40 percent in the case of RCP 4.5. RCP 8.5 cases for 2020 and 2080 respectively. Aqua Crop Model Projects 34 percent and A 41% reduction in maize production by the end of the century under the RCP 8.5 scenario. The results for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province show that the overall climate impacts Changes in parameters, i.e. temperature and rainfall have overall negative effects.
Cereal crop yields, given that management practices and technology use, remained unchanged. Agriculture is the second largest contributor to GHG emissions (174 out of 406 Mt CO2Eq). According to baseline emissions (2015) estimates, agricultural Growth is expected to increase to 271.9 (56 percent) Mt, 314.3 (80 percent) Mt, and 362.9 Mt.108 percent Enhanced Consumption Pattern (ECP) scenarios, respectively.
Increasing land productivity can help mitigate the impacts of climate change on agriculture, With the adaptation of modern and clean technology. In other parts of Asia, green Revolutionary policies have helped promote the use of technology to modernize agriculture. Production and making the economy self-sufficient in food. 4 Biennial Update Report (BUR) BURs contain updates to national GHG inventories, including a national inventory Report and information on mitigation measures. Pakistan has submitted its second National. Communication (SNC) to the UNFCCC in August 2019 and now intends to submit its first BUR In 21/2020.

Effects of Climate Change on Health in Pakistan

Climate change is already having a devastating impact on public health in Pakistan. Without significant action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the situation is only going to get worse.

Climate change is seriously affecting the earthborn health in Pakistan. Stress, trauma, and ailments act from changing climate and leading to internal diseases, dropped working capacity, and indeed death

The most urgent health concerns are related to increased heat exposure and air pollution. As temperatures continue to rise, the number of heat-related deaths will increase. There is also an increased risk of water-borne diseases, as floods and other natural disasters become more common.

Air pollution is also a major health hazard, especially in cities like Karachi which are already struggling with high levels of smog. The impact of air pollution on human health is well documented and includes respiratory problems, heart disease, and even cancer.

Climate has some direct and indirect causes that affect human health which are.

Direct Effects

Climate change has direct negative impacts on humans. Due to untimely rains, various diseases occur, the most important of which are skin diseases. Apart from this, due to the effects of climate change, humans are facing various diseases. like flu, illness, cancer, bone diseases, And many other diseases that cause death.

Indirect Effects

Just as climate change has many direct effects, it also has many indirect effects. Among them, the most impact is polluted air, which has very bad effects on human health. And another major effect of food quality is that it affects human health very badly.
In many remote areas, people are facing food insecurity, which is having a direct impact on their health. Where many underage children suffer from many diseases and die due to lack of food. And many children do not develop properly.

How Can Help Combat Climate Change in Pakistan

CLIMATE CHANGE'S IMPACT ON WATER RESOURCES

INTRODUCTION   Pakistan is no stranger to natural disasters. Floods, droughts, and heat waves are a regular occurrence, and they often take a devastating toll on the country’s citizens.  Now, a new report has revealed that climate change is making these disasters even worse. The report, which was compiled by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), warns that climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events in Pakistan. As a result, the country’s water crisis is only going to get worse.  This is a critical issue for Pakistan, as water shortages have already led to widespread protests and social unrest. In some areas, access to clean water is becoming increasingly difficult – and in some cases, it’s simply not available at all. Unless something is done to address the impact of climate change, things are only going to get worse.     INTRODUCTION TO THE WATER CRISIS IN PAKISTAN   Pakistan is one of the most water-stressed countries on Earth. CONSTRUCTION OF DAMS IN PAKISTAN

INTRODUCTION  Dams are built for a variety of reasons, including flood control, irrigation, and hydroelectric power generation. With climate change and variable weather patterns, the construction of dams to store water for later use has become essential. The construction of dams has been a major problem in Pakistan for decades. No major dam has been built in Pakistan since 1984. Due to this Pakistan has always seen destruction after floods. And no way to save a large amount of water. But now a few years ago Pakistan is showing more concern and taking steps to build big dams. Now Pakistan is working on the construction of seven big dams.
