IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON OTHER WORLD

Introduction: Climate change has become an undeniable reality, with its effects reverberating throughout the world. Beyond the obvious changes in weather patterns, rising sea levels, and extreme weather events, there are hidden consequences that often go unnoticed. These hidden impacts of climate change are not only affecting our environment but also jeopardizing our health, economies, and ecosystems. In this blog, we will explore some of the lesser-known effects of climate change and shed light on the urgent need for global action. Hidden Impact 1: Health Crisis As temperatures rise and weather patterns become more unpredictable, public health is increasingly at risk. Heatwaves, intensified by climate change, can lead to heat-related illnesses and fatalities. Moreover, changing climate conditions create favorable environments for the spread of infectious diseases such as malaria, dengue fever, and Lyme disease. The consequences of climate change on human health are often overshadowed

CLIMATE CHANGE AND ENVIROMENTAL CHALLENGES IN PAKISTAN

featured  by  Malick Jawad Introduction Climate change is one of the most important global environmental challenges facing the whole world, especially Pakistan. It refers to the change in atmospheric conditions on Earth.  The changing climate is already adversely affecting Pakistan’s agriculture, water resources, health, and economy. In Pakistan, the effects of climate change are already being felt. The country has experienced an increase in floods and landslides in recent years.  There has also been a decrease in crop yields and an increase in desertification. These changes are having a negative impact on the economy and on the lives of ordinary Pakistanis. Climate change has been observed in Pakistan as well, with some regions already experiencing adverse effects. Located in the region of South Asia, Pakistan is one of the most climate-vulnerable developing countries on Earth. The country is also economically weak and lacks the resilience to deal with natural disasters. CAUSES OF C

IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY

Climate change effects on Food            You've probably heard that climate change is seriously impacting our planet. But what does that mean for Pakistan? Well, for one thing, it means that our food security is at risk. You see, extreme weather conditions are making it harder and harder for us to grow food. And when the food supply is low, that can lead to riots and social unrest. Pakistan is one of the signatories of the Paris Agreement, and it has committed to reducing its emissions by 2030. However, it will need international assistance to achieve this goal. Climate change is a global problem, and it requires a global solution. International cooperation is essential to combat this threat. The effects of climate change are already being felt in Pakistan. Our food security is at risk, and extreme weather conditions make growing food harder and harder. Deforestation and water shortages are also major issues. We need to take acti

WHAT MEASURES IS PAKISTAN TAKING FOR CLIMATE CHANGE?

Introduction There are many things that can be done to mitigate the effects of climate change in Pakistan. One of the most important things is to increase awareness about the issue and its impact on the country. The Pakistani government has taken some steps in this direction, but more needs to be done to engage the public on this critical issue.  In the last few years, climate change has had a significant impact on Pakistan. Subsequently, in 2013, the Government of Pakistan launched a National Climate Change Policy (NCCP) and an accompanying implementation framework. And with the help of other developed countries, especially with the support of the United Nations, they have started paying particular attention to this problem. The government has launched several projects to achieve this goal, including the Ten billion tree tsunami, the establishment of national parks, wetlands, and wildlife restoration. Prime Minister Khan said that if the government shows determination, the effects o

CONSTRUCTION OF DAMS IN PAKISTAN

INTRODUCTION  Dams are built for a variety of reasons, including flood control, irrigation, and hydroelectric power generation. With climate change and variable weather patterns, the construction of dams to store water for later use has become essential. The construction of dams has been a major problem in Pakistan for decades. No major dam has been built in Pakistan since 1984. Due to this Pakistan has always seen destruction after floods. And no way to save a large amount of water. But now a few years ago Pakistan is showing more concern and taking steps to build big dams. Now Pakistan is working on the construction of seven big dams. Which are: Kurram Tangi Dam  KPK  2016  Dasu Dam  KPK  2020  Mohmand Dam  KPK  2019  Kalam Dam  KPK   –  Othla Dam  KPK   –  Jabba Dam  KPK   –  Jalozai Dam  KPK   –  Dadocha Dam  Punjab   –  Nai Gaj Dam  Sindh   –  Darawat Dam  Sindh   –  Naulong Dam   Balochistan   –  Basha Dam  Gilgit-Baltistan  2019  list of under-construction dams in Pakistan KURRA

CLIMATE CHANGE'S IMPACT ON WATER RESOURCES

INTRODUCTION   Pakistan is no stranger to natural disasters. Floods, droughts, and heat waves are a regular occurrence, and they often take a devastating toll on the country’s citizens.  Now, a new report has revealed that climate change is making these disasters even worse. The report, which was compiled by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), warns that climate change is increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events in Pakistan. As a result, the country’s water crisis is only going to get worse.  This is a critical issue for Pakistan, as water shortages have already led to widespread protests and social unrest. In some areas, access to clean water is becoming increasingly difficult – and in some cases, it’s simply not available at all. Unless something is done to address the impact of climate change, things are only going to get worse.     INTRODUCTION TO THE WATER CRISIS IN PAKISTAN   Pakistan is one of the most water-stressed countries on Earth.
